ABOUT US

ABOUT JR. LANCERS CHEERLEADING

Junior Lancers Cheer is a community-based, non-profit, volunteer-driven organization with the goal to instruct, promote, and develop Rockwood students in the Lafayette High School quadrant in the sport of cheerleading.

Junior Lancers Cheer offers students an athletic, no-cut sport which develops safe and healthy cheerleading skills for the purposes of cheering at Junior Lancers football games, and performing at local and regional community events, and ultimately developing their athletic cheer skills.

It is our goal to provide a physically and emotionally safe and disciplined cheerleading program where all involved show respect for one another. We strive to teach our athletes the value of commitment, hard work, integrity, leadership, self-confidence, a positive attitude, and a love for the sport of cheerleading...while having fun at the same time. While Junior Lancers Cheer is considered the feeder program to Lafayette High School, we are an independent program that is not supported by district fees or property taxes, and is run independently of the school district.

** Disclaimer: Cheer teams are organized and based on the participating grade-level tackle football teams.  Grade-level cheer teams are not guaranteed year to year.
